Lately we have been trying to come up with different and innovative ways to upcycle furniture using existing materials and found objects. After some intense research we stumbled over some very intersting pieces of furniture and decorative items – Very inspirational! All the items we’ve put in this post have been upcycled and altered using old coffee sacks, hessian bags. Enjoy!

Hessian sacks like these are mostly used to transport coffee beans from Africa to different parts of the world. We asked ourselves – What happens to all the used bags after they have reached their destination? Are they recycled, re-used in any way or just thrown away? Where can we get hold of some sacks so that we can try it out ourselves in our own original way?
